Santorini is the supermodel of the Greek islands, a head-turner whose face is instantly recognisable around the world: multicolored cliffs soar out of a sea-drowned caldera, topped by drifts of whitewashed buildings. With its reputation for dazzling panoramas, romantic sunsets and volcanic-sand beaches, it’s hardly surprising the island features on so many travelers’ bucket lists.

Santorini is a unique Greek island of volcanic origin, incredibly beautiful and romantic. Narrow cozy streets, an abundance of small whitewashed houses with blue windows and doors, and the azure color of sea water; That is what everybody loves about Santorini.

The locals jokingly say: “Santorini is an island with more wine than water, more churches than houses, and more donkeys than people.

Beaches with unusual, volcanic colours and crystalline waters beckon you to bask in the sun and splash around or hit the waves. For well-organised shores that spare no modern comfort, look for the black beaches of Perivolos, Perissa and Kamari; for unmet natural charm, the maroon rocks of Ammoudi Bay and the Red Beach, or the pristine pebbles of the White Beach will take your breath away, and, for more secluded coastal moments, seek Columbos and Cambia beach.
